Man United vs Crystal Palace result

Manchester United produced one of the most impressive performances of the pre-season as they lost 3-1 to Crystal Palace at the MCG in Melbourne, Australia on Tuesday.

The attacking trio of Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho all got on the scoresheet as Erik ten Haag's side thrilled to get going, despite looking shaky defensively.

Martial - United's career was in doubt after being loaned out to Sevilla last season

Diego Dalot opened the scoring with a superb finish following a delightful cross.

Palace created a few half-chances at the break, but United dominated the half and did not get a second goal until after the break.

United scored a superb team goal which fell into the empty net through Rashford's side-foot after Donnie van de Beek, Martial and Sancho cut through the Palace defence.

Just 10 minutes later, it was three, when the English winger finished clinically and played Sancho through on goal after Martial dummied the goalkeeper.

Martial's career at United came to a screeching halt last season, when he was loaned out to Sevilla and struggled to make an impact.
