Mohammed Shami is one of the all-time greats in ODI cricket


Shami achieved this feat in his 80th match (79th innings) and became the fastest Indian to take 150 wickets in ODIs.

Internationally, Shami is the third fastest (in terms of matches)  to achieve the landmark after Mitchell Starc (77 matches) and Saqlain Mushtaq (78 matches).

Shami is the fifth fastest bowler in the 150-wicket club behind Starc, Mendis, Saqlain and Rashid in terms of number of deliveries.

Making Shami the second fastest bowler in ODI cricket. Australian cricketer Starc is on the first place.

Shami, who made his world cricket debut with the 2015 World Cup trophy, became the highest wicket-taker in the Anati era.

Shami, who made his World Cup debut against Pakistan in 2013, took 87 wickets in 47 matches at an average of 24.89.

However, he was sidelined from cricket in 2016, 2017, 2018 due to knee injuries, personal problems and occasional poor performance.
